Sonia Cavaliere, PhD

European Research Sales Engineer

Sonia received her PhD from the University of Bristol studying electrophysiological, pharmacological and behavioral characterizations of ion channels working in Dr. James Hodge’s lab. She was interested in discovering how neural circuit activity underlies behavior including circadian rhythms, sleep, memory and movement and how these are affected by ageing, drugs and diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Down’s and schizophrenia. After her PhD, Sonia worked for the past 7 years in the capital equipment sales sector helping set up neuroscience labs all over Europe.
